The price depends on the type and length of the mains run, the condition of your meter box and switchboard, and whether your distributor needs to do any work.

Common questions

Is a mains upgrade the same as a switchboard upgrade?

No. The mains bring power from the network to your property. The switchboard shares it out inside. They are often done together.

Will my electricity distributor need to be involved?

Sometimes. It depends on the work. We tell you at the quote stage.

Why upgrade before solar or an EV charger?

New installs add demand. Older mains or a full switchboard may not cope, so we check first.
